Vince Hockey 000

I saw this unique Custom handmade 000 in the Guitar Store in Southampton. It is made by legendary English Luthier Vince Hockey, who is the official CF Martin UK vintage repair and signature artistes luthier since the 1980's. I picked it up, and after playing a just few notes immediately knew I just had to have it for myself. It was love at first sight and sound!

This now is my best guitar and one that I would never part with for any price.

A beautiful example of a 'genius’ craft, it is built with a Western Red Cedar top, East Indian Rosewood back & sides, Mahogany & Rope inlay binding, Macassar Ebony fingerboard, Ebony Bridge & has Grover Mini tuners.

It almost plays itself! I have not come across another high end guitar in any shop, that comes close to matching it for quality of build, sound (volume, tone and projection) with piano like bass, strong solid mid’s tones and sparkling highs, and is great for both Fingerstyle Blues and Jazz .

If I ever risk playing it out I would have to use my K&K Meridian Pro mic and Preamp and AER Compact 60.
